Starting Therapy: What to Expect
Booking a first therapy appointment can feel like a big step. Here’s exactly what happens, so there are no surprises.
Step 1: Check Your Insurance
Click the booking button and enter your plan. It takes about a minute and shows what you’d pay before you commit to anything.
Step 2: Pick a Time
Choose in person at the St. Petersburg office, or a secure online session from home. Whatever fits your schedule.
Step 3: Come As You Are
Your first session is a conversation, not an evaluation. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what you’d like to change, and whether we’re a good fit. You don’t need to prepare anything.
Good to Know
- Sessions are 53–60 minutes.
- Most people start weekly, then space sessions out as things improve.
- Individual sessions are $125. Insurance often lowers that.
- Sliding-scale spots are available if cost is a barrier.
- You can switch between in-person and online sessions any time.
