This Is Not Your Clinical Privacy Notice
The privacy of your therapy records is covered by a separate document — the Notice of Privacy Practices — which you receive at intake. That notice is governed by HIPAA and state law, and it is the one that matters for anything you say in session.
This page covers something narrower: what happens when you simply visit this website. Browsing this site does not make you a client, and nothing collected here is protected health information.
What This Site Collects
Basic visit data. This site runs on WordPress.com, which records standard analytics: pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device type, and the site that referred you. This is aggregate traffic data. It is not used to identify you, and it is not linked to any clinical record.
Anything you email. If you write to hello@perrinhealth.com, I receive whatever you send. Standard email is not encrypted and not HIPAA-secure. Please don’t include medical details, diagnoses, medications, or anything else you’d consider confidential. Use the booking link instead — it’s built for that.
Shop orders. If you buy merchandise, the order is processed through WooCommerce and a third-party payment processor. Your card number is handled by the processor and is never stored on this site. Shipping and contact details are kept only to fulfill your order.
Booking and Scheduling
The “Book a Session” and “Check Insurance” buttons take you off this site to a third-party scheduling platform. Once you leave, that platform’s own privacy policy and security practices apply to whatever you enter there. Those platforms are built to handle health information securely; this website is not.
What I Don’t Do
- I don’t sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.
- I don’t run advertising trackers or retargeting pixels on this site.
- I don’t add you to marketing lists because you visited or emailed.
- I don’t confirm to anyone — family, employer, or otherwise — whether a specific person is a client. That’s protected separately under HIPAA.
Cookies
This site uses functional cookies to keep it working — remembering shop cart contents, for example. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies; some features may not work correctly if you do.
Your Choices
You can ask what website information I have about you, ask me to delete it, or ask me to stop contacting you. Email hello@perrinhealth.com and I’ll take care of it.
Requests about your clinical record work differently, because those records are subject to legal retention requirements. Your Notice of Privacy Practices explains that process, or just ask me in session.
Children
This website is intended for adults. I don’t knowingly collect information from children through it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
